Hello readers.
Today I would like to share how actually I start to cook and enjoy cooking now. If you have follow my blog for quite a long time, I am sure that you know that I love cooking and always share the recipes in this blog (but this week I did not share any recipe yet due to limited time😂). For those who just want to learn on how to cook, I hope the tips that I am going to share can help you.
Some of you might feel curious how I am able to cook different types of food (but not the one really complicated) in young age. For your information, I will turn 21 years old this year and I started to cook when I was in primary school specifically when I was 12 years old. Therefore, I have cook for about 9 years. Although I do not cook everyday, the experience that I obtain every time I cook really help me to improve my cooking skill. So, let's see the tips that you can use.
Find recipes in Internet
Nowadays, a lot of information can be obtained from Internet so utilize the technology to find the recipes. If you really do not have basic in cooking, there are a lot of cooking tutorials available in YouTube that you can refer as guidelines.
Learn from the elders
This is a free way for you to learn cooking. You do not have to spend money for cooking class because you can just learn it from your mother or grandmother. I am sure that they will be very happy to share their experiences in cooking if you are willing to learn. Probably you can spend time with them during the weekend and learn how to cook.
Try to cook simple dish
As a beginner in cooking, you cannot expect yourself to cook food with complicated preparation like rendang, nasi lemak or nasi ayam. However, you try to cook simple dishes such as stir-fry vegetables, omelette and chicken soup. Simple dish does not require a lot of ingredients and the cooking time also very short.
Learn how to cook your favourite food
You will feel more excited and eager to cook if you cook what you like to eat. Different people have different way of cooking so might be the way other people cook your favourite food does not suit your taste. Therefore, the alternative is you cook it on your own because you can cook it in the way that you like it. For example, I do not like anchovies so I always having problem when eating sambal cooked by others as I take time to remove the anchovies from the sambal. After that I decided to learn how to cook sambal. Every time I cook sambal, I will grind the anchovies using mortal and pestle so that I cannot see the appearance of them but I can taste them.
Give others try your cooking
After you cook, for sure someone have to eat it. I suggest you to give others try your cooking so that they can give comments for you to improve your cooking. Sometimes it can serves as a therapy for you when you feel stress. For me, I feel happy when I see people enjoy my cooking and feel more motivated to try other recipes.
*The tips above are just my opinion and work on me. I am not sure whether it work well for you but there is nothing wrong to try. Good luck for your cooking😊
