5 Situations That University Students Can Relate To

Getting opportunity to study in university is a great achievement in our life. Some of us might be lucky and straightaway pursue our study after SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) but some have to wait after work first or after form 6/matriculation. Do not worry if you do not get any offer yet, but just put your effort and keep praying that you will be given chance to study in university one day. As a university student, there are few situations that we can actually relate to. Hence, let's see which situations can relate with you.

15 minutes of sleep is like having 8 hours of sleep
Being able to sleep for 15 minutes is one of the thing that can make you feel better (although not totally). Why is it so? This is because you have a lot of things to do until you have to sacrifice your sleeping time (cannot even sleep sometime). Some students use the gaps between classes to take a nap so that they can rest their body for a while.

Coffee become part of your life
Some students who do not drink coffee previously have make coffee as "favourite" drink. They need coffee to ensure that they will not feel sleepy especially during assignment week or exam week. Probably you can be become addicted to coffee. Some even become resistant to coffee and one cup of coffee not enough to prevent them from sleeping. They need to increase the quantity in order to see the effect.

Rushing for nothing
Overslept is a common thing among university students. Usually you will rush to class when this happen. However, when you arrive at the venue, there is no one there. Then, you try to ask your friend and realize that someone posted in WhatsApp group that class has been cancelled.

Class without lecturer
Most lecturers will come early to the class but one day after 15 minutes waiting, your lecturer have not come. All your classmates and you are waiting for the lecturer while gossiping, hoping that your lecturer will come faster. This is because you want to go back if no class. Then, one of your classmates inform that the lecturer forgot that you are supposed to have class on that day. If you have another class after that, it is okay because you can stay somewhere in the campus while waiting for the next class. However, if you only have one class on that day, only God knows your feeling.

No festive celebration
During childhood, festive season is something that everyone is waiting for. In university, sometimes you do not even feel the festive vibes especially when it is during your examination week or assignment week. Spending Chinese New Year, Christmas, Hari Raya and Deepavali by doing assignment or studying are common. You do not enjoy the celebration as there are a lot of things to do and you cannot go back to your hometown if the holiday provided only one or two days (usually happen to students from East Malaysia who study in West Malaysia).

Although there are a lot of challenges that you will face as a university students, please be strong and stay positive. Enjoy your university life.

Happy Chinese New Year 2019. Gong Xi Fa Cai.
