MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY: Facing Unexpected Situation

Life is not always similar with what we hope or how we want it to be. Sometimes we need to face a situation that we never expect it to happen. I think all of you are aware with the situation that we are facing now. So, our topic today is about facing unexpected situation.

I know that some of us might feel that it is very hard to go through this kind of situation. Our life are totally change. No more hanging out at restaurant, no more shopping at mall, no more classes, and no more journey going back to our hometown.

Everyone are affected with this situation. However, every time you feel that you are badly affected, try to think about others who need to face even worse problems than you. Maybe you are not able to go shopping mall but your monthly salary is still going to be given to you. Staying at home for those living in the cities, especially those living in the area without yard can be quite boring. On the other hand, those living in the rural areas/villages seem like having more freedom because at least they can go outside and walk at the front yard and back yard. But, they might face problem to support their family as many of them do not have fixed salary. Their income might be from selling food in front of their house every morning.

If you are a university student, you are lucky if you are able to go back to your hometown. You will not be alone in hostel room and do not worry of finding food. You can even try many viral recipes at home. For those who cannot go back to your hometown, do not be sad. Think in a positive way. A least you have free WiFi for your online classes. Internet speed is quite slow actually in certain areas during this MCO (movement control order).

Apart from that, working from home is new for many people. It is more challenging to stay focus when working from home, especially for working mothers. But if you feel tired of this new concept of working, think about those who lose their jobs during MCO. You should be grateful that the company still want to hire you. You are still able to get a fixed income to support your family.

Ramadan is coming in few more days. I believe that most of you are disappointed because you are not able to go back to your hometown. It is totally different from Ramadan in the previous year. However, bear in mind that MCO is for our own good. I am sure that all of us do not want our loved one to be infected with the disease. If we limit our movement, at least we can reduce the spread of the disease. Sacrifices are needed for a better future. What we do today will determine what will we face tomorrow.

When we are dealing with unexpected situation, most of us might not be physically and mentally prepared for it. Therefore, the best thing to do now is to adapt to this new situation. We cannot change the past but we can do something to improve the current situation.

Stay at home and stay safe everyone. See you in the next entry.
