5 Tips For Online Classes

2020 has brought a major change in our lives including the ways we study. All of us have to switch to online classes as it is the best choice for the current situation. Of course this change comes together with obstacles and challenges. However, do not worry. Probably the tips below can help you for your online classes.

1. Make sure you have a good Internet connection
A good Internet connection is the most needed thing for online classes. There is no use of applying the rest of the tips if you are not able to follow the first tip. It depends on you whether you want to use mobile hotspot, mobile data or WiFi. As long as you have enough Internet quota and high speed Internet, it is good enough. If the Internet connection at your house is not really okay, you might have to go to the town/other place for a better Internet connection.

2. Find a suitable place
One of the challenges for online classes is to find a conducive place. Make sure you find a place where you can hear your lecturer's voice clearly. Most probably you can sit in one room and lock the door to avoid any unwanted disturbance during the classes.

3. Set up the device earlier
For online classes, usually you can either use laptop or smartphone. Don't forget to charge your device before the classes start. Besides, try to login to the platform (Google Meet, Zoom etc) earlier. If you are not able to join the class, directly inform the lecturer or ask your classmates for help.

4. Be aware on any announcements/updates
Sometimes the lecturer will postpone or cancel the class due to certain reason. Therefore, you must be alert to any announcements/updates. Always read the messages on Whatsapp/Telegram as well as the learning portal.

5. Communicate more with others
Many students face problems to stay focus and understand what the lecturers taught via online learning. However, it does not mean that you cannot improve yourself. Do communicate with your lecturers and classmates to ask them about the topic that you do not really understand. Probably you can ask them to suggest online references for the subject.

Hopefully the tips above can help you to go through your online classes. All the best for your study.
